LED SAFETY DOOR SYSTEMS

Commercial garage or industrial door accidents are unfortunately very common. High-speed door accidents cause personal injury, system down time, and possible freezer-contents damage amongst other possible issues.

Using a LED-illuminated Door Safety Kit, we attach 10’ of LED strips to the driver’s side of the commercial door frame. The LEDs are connected to a patent‐pending LED Controller device, which is a small computer and power supply. The LED Controller is wired to the commercial door operator (CDO) and controls the LED colors. The LEDs are solid bright red when the door is down, flashing red when in motion and solid bright green when door is fully open, indicating when it’s okay to proceed through.

Our LEDs flash bright white light when the door’s safety device (electric eye, light curtain, etc.) is triggered or malfunctioning. The LEDs flash red if the door operator loses power. The high‐intensity LEDs bask the truck bay in red light, so station staff preserve their night vision by avoiding using overhead white lights.

In summary, the Brink Alert system is a simple visual notification for monitoring door position, CDO power status, and safety-device status while basking the truck bay with bright red or green light.

The Loading Dock Light Kit (LDLK) is an Industrial LED light system that activates when a tractor-trailer truck locks onto a warehouse dock. This life‐safety innovation helps prevent forklifts from falling off docks or departing trucks. Upon locking, the outside LEDs facing the truck turn flashing-red, indicating he cannot leave. 

​Conversely, the LEDs inside the warehouse turn green, indicating the forklifts are free to enter the restrained truck. If the dock's door leaves fully-open status while the lock is engaged (dock door is creeping down), the LEDs will flash red, indicating danger of forklifts hitting the door.

If the docking truck lacks a functional lock-bar and the truck restraint enters a lock-fail state, the LEDs will flash Amber, indicating danger (manually chock wheels).
